Therefore it is necessary to study about its structural behaviour. The benefit is it covered least possible number of columns. The Flat slab, Waffle slabs & ribbed slab is basically preferred in the structure having large spans. The use of advanced slabs in building predominantly for the need of large span. The new trend introduced the use of different types of slabs and structural engineers have the big challenge to work on it. The building may be residential or residential plus commercial.
